Oxidized sterling silver,18K yellow gold
This piece is from Enric Majoral's Samurai Collection. Delicate scales, like matte glitter, contrive a Japanese print, influenced by a humble radial figure. One that vaguely recalls the rays of a star, the umbrella of a geisha or the corolla of a flower. A very basic decorative motif that is repeated with different shapes and sizes. This is the collection in which small circular forms develop the shields of a warrior, gold robust enough for battle, or simply the shell of a mythological animal. The semi-oxidized gray and matte gold are sober, austere and give the piece their elegant air.
A round concave of silver is adorned with small gold "samurai discs" layered and spread apart on the surface to affirm the exotic confection. Riveted to the back of the form, almost like braille, a hidden language of alluring love.
